Flat-Pack Continuo

I love making continuo organs!

We had a very interesting request to build a continuo organ that could easily be transported with two keyboard heights. In low height configuration, a harpsichord could be placed on top creating a claviorganum, in high configuration, the instrument could be played whilst standing or seated on a stool.

The solution was to split the instrument into 3 sections, lower section containing speakers, upper section containing the keyboard, stops, computer and audio interface and two center sections  of differing heights. The top section is completely self-contained allowing it to be used without the base. The centre sections flat-pack for ease of transport.
